Le Professeur Katharina Van Cauteren (1981) a étudié les sciences artistiques à la KU Leuven. En 2010, elle a défendu une thèse de doctorat sur le peintre bruxellois Hendrick De Clerck (1560-1630) et ses liens avec la Cour des Habsbourg. Depuis lors, cette recherche a donné lieu à une exposition, ainsi qu'à un ouvrage remarquable. Katharina n'en était pas à son coup d'essai: elle avait déjà été commissaire de nombreuses expositions, tant en Belgique qu'à l'étranger. Elle a été la première à introduire Rubens en Inde, a escorté Jan Van Eyck aux Pays-Bas et fêté, avec le couturier Walter Van Beirendonck, le 350e anniversaire de l'Académie d'Anvers. Aujourd'hui, Katharina enseigne à l'Université d'Anvers et peut se présenter comme la 'chef d'équipe' de la chancellerie de The Phoebus Foundation.
