This legendary address-13 rue de la Paix-evokes the very origins of Cartier. The address has also been marked by history, as countless crowned heads of state from Europe to Asia, as well as movie stars and industry leaders, once pushed open the doors here to enter the renowned Parisian jewelry store. This iconic location reflects the vast history of the House of Cartier and of its most emblematic creations, which are recounted in this volume. Previously unpublished photographs by celebrated photographers such as Laziz Hamani capture the rebirth of the jeweler's flagship store. This brand-new setting amplifies the location's unique creative ethos by celebrating Cartier's exceptional expertise and its commitment to artisanal craftsmanship.

Founded in 1875 by Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet, the manufacturing headquarters of Audemars Piguet are nestled in the Joux Valley in Switzerland. For more than a century, this prestigious company has held a unique position in the world of high quality watch making: its expertise, creativity, and state-of-the-art technology are behind Audemars Piguet's luxurious and innovative watches.
At the turn of the twentieth century, the factory employed more than seventy craftsmen, whose mastery and excellent grasp of the changing times not only enabled the development of traditional pieces, but also the production of revolutionary watches, both of the highest quality. These include the slimline jeweled watches for women in the Art Deco era, chronographs in the Forties, the first perpetual calendar watch in 1957, the famous Royal Oak-the first high-end sports watch-in 1972, and the ultra-modern Millenary MC12 in 2008.
Audemars Piguet's artisans have painstakingly crafted countless masterpieces for over 130 years.

An exquisite volume documenting Cartier's most recent bespoke high jewelry collection, destined for eminent clients and collectors. Devoted to the new high jewellery and precious objects collection by Cartier, this book celebrates nature's vitality, sensuality, and aesthetic force. Documents from the House's archives show that flora and fauna have been a major source of inspiration at Cartier since the very beginning. The representations are numerous, and the interpretations complementary, from figurative to stylized, all the way to abstraction. The jeweller's imagination and virtuosity transform precious materials and stones into splendid ensembles. For this ground-breaking new collection, the designers venture into and beyond the natural universe : in addition to the species that have become emblematic of Cartier's art-such as panthers and crocodiles-they have imagined original creations inspired, for example, by succulents and peacocks, as well as fantastical creatures like reinvented chimeras. The collection is accompanied by text that highlights the privileged relationship between contemporary art and nature. Artists, fascinated by the power and the mystery of the environment that surrounds us, move beyond traditional art arenas to confront the immensity of landscapes or to work directly with materials from nature.
