Style Is Life brings together Daniele Tamagni's images of Congolese sapeurs, Botswana's Afrometals, Bolivian wrestlers, young Johannesburg dance groups and more, showcasing famous and unpublished photographs that remind us of the subversive and political value of fashion. 'With every picture of Daniele it becomes clear that he was not a photographer who simply captured moments detached from the surroundings or the people. He immersed himself in every moment and uniquely positioned himself as a foreign photographer who cared about building a relationship with his subject.' (Aida Muluneh) .'Daniele's images have won the World Press Photo, fashion designers such as Paul Smith and Stella Jean inspired, convinced the demanding jury of the ICP Infinity Award and seduced artists like Solange Knowles.' (Chiara Bardelli Nonino).

Roger Ballen.

Award-winning photo series about the politically volatile border region between Mexico and the USA
Borderlands is a documentary essay shot along the US side of the border with Mexico between 2017 and 2019, at the height of the Trump era. The series aims to develop a narration capable of going beyond the emergency perspective under which border-related issues are often presented and to transport the complexity of this 3,600 kilometers long strip of land. Crossed by migrants and travelers for decades but also inhabited by a very diverse range of souls, the borderlands seem to become a different place from the two countries they separate. Francesco Anselmi is an award winning documentary photographer living in Milan, Italy. His work focuses on border areas and the various consequences contemporary border policies are having on the people living in there. He is currently working on a long term project about border communities in the European Union. His images have been published and exhibited internationally. -
Documenting a vanishing world of Japanese jazz culture.
Japanese jazz bars and coffee shops are insular worlds where time ceases to exist, removed from the speed and chaos of the modern urban landscape. Tokyo Jazz Joints is a visual chronicle of this unique culture that captures the transient beauty of these spaces. Established in 2015 to document Tokyo's myriad jazu kissaten, the project has gradually expanded to cover the whole of Japan. These dedicated jazz listening spaces are slowly vanishing in the face of changing trends, ageing customers and gentrification. This book preserves these living museums before they disappear forever. Tokyo Jazz Joints is a documentary photography project by Northern Irish photographer Philip Arneill, in collaboration with American broadcaster James Catchpole, both long-term residents of Japan. -
