Gaston Leroux

Gaston Leroux (1868-1927), d'abord chroniqueur judiciaire pour le quotidien Le Matin, commence une carrière de feuilletoniste avec le cycle de Rouletabille (1907-1922) puis celui de Chéri-Bibi (1913-1925). Auteur d'une quarantaine de romans et nouvelles, dont les plus célèbres sont Le Mystère de la chambre jaune et Le Fantôme de l'Opéra, son oeuvre mélange avec audace mystère, aventure et humour noir.
